"How do you get repeat business and earn customer loyalty?  Email is an easy and inexpensive way of establishing early and long lasting relationships with your prospects and customers. And the benefits of these relationships are far reaching." Pamela Adams, Constant Contact

Join Pamela Adams as she covers the 3 Keys to Email Marketing:
  • Developing best practices and winning strategies for getting and keeping quality subscribers

  • Avoiding spam while creating successful, memorable email campaigns.
This is the perfect opportunity to learn why Personal is the New Professional...  Social networking is the center of today's business communications; and, Pamela Adams is the most knowledgeable individual we know to focus on making each and every contact count.

Linda Parrish

The ADCG June 2010 Board of Directors Meeting was full-up with wonderful things.  Among these was the election of Linda Parrish, one of Lexington, Georgia's most prolific business owners.  Besides being Owner/Operator of the Hummingbird House Bed & Breakfast, she is also Publisher forThe Country Register Magazine, is a professional interior designer and owner of JT Designs...and somehow finds time to operate Send Out Cards, a mail-out card and gift business.

And all of this is from her home/office on West Main Street, Lexington, Georgia!  Welcome, Linda Parrish, our newest member of the ADCG Board of Directors.

Would you believe Linda is already on two committees and her "official" service doesn't begin until July 1?  You can reach Linda at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Yes, regular meeting hour is 10:00 AM untill approximately 11:30 AM.  We have several topics to cover and I do hope each and every one of you will be present.

  • Newest ADCG BOD Member - Linda Parrish, The Country Register/Hummingbird House Bed and Breakfast, has agreed to come onto the ADCG Board of Directors. Her three year term will begin July 1, 2010.  Linda's expertise will benefit all ADCG Members as well as the entire Art Community.
  • Woodruff Arts Center/ADCG Joint Project - We are long past-due for a report and update.  Jeanette Waddell, ADCG Secretary, will be on hand to bring us up-to-date.
  • ADCG Survey - Camille Ronay, Georgia Made Georgia Grown, had excellent input from fellow BOD members.  She will report the results and the next steps being taken.
  • Governor's Tourism Conference - Chuck Jones, Athens CVB, has contacted me regarding ADCG sponsorship and participation in this event.  I recommend this be considered favorably at a noticeable level.
  • Grant Writing - Cary Fordyce, Oglethorpe Chamber of Commerce, suggested ADCG set aside "seed money" to compensate a grant writer to petition on behalf of the council.  This was met with favorable mention and now requires your vote to implement as quickly as possible.
  • August 4, 2010 Membership Meeting - Pam Adams, Constant Contact Regional Development Director, has agreed to present her full program for the ADCG.  Having prior exposure to the dynamics of Ms. Adams' delivery, I recommend ADCG to encourage as many organizations as possible to join us at Athens Tech.  Logistics and detailed PR will be announced soon.
  • Membership - Speaking of which...Renewals are coming up for FY 2010-11.  All are encouraged to do so...generously!
Please contact me with any and all topics for the Agenda.  Even though it looks somewhat full right now, the busier we are the more we will be able to accomplish in the long "haul".

See you in Lexington, Georgia on June 2.

Note:  My plans are to not have a meeting on July 7 so we can concentrate on the August 4 meeting...with each one of the BOD members actively working toward maximizing attendance by area organizations and their constituents.

Regards,

Bill
